The following are effective as of October 11, 2008
Game Rules
1) Games are to be non-contact, excessive contact will result in penalties. Penalties which are to be enforced include:
a. Roughing
b. Fighting (major)
c. Charging (major)
d. Boarding
e. Body checking
f. Slashing (double minor)
g. Tripping
h. Interference
i. High Sticking (double minor)
j. Unsportsmanlike Conduct
k. Holding the Stick
l. Closing hand on Ball
m. Delay of Game
n. Bench Minors
o. Cross checking (double minor)
2) Minor penalties will be 3 minutes in duration. Double minor penalties will be 6 minutes in length. If major penalty is called it will be 7 minutes in length. All major penalties include an automatic game misconduct, mandatory suspension (see rule 13) and will be reviewed by the league to determine if any additional suspensions are required.
3) Referee’s decision is final. Excessive verbal berating of officials or other players will not be tolerated at any time.
4) A referee can disallow any goal that he believes has been kicked, batted, or scored with illegal means. This includes goaltender interference that will include a 3-minute minor penalty.
5) Balls shot out of play or stuck in an unplayable manner will result in a face off at the nearest face off dot. Balls covered by the goalie will be awarded to the defensive team behind the goal. A player then has 5 seconds to pass the ball out. After the 5 seconds expire, opposing players may try to retrieve the ball. The defending player may carry the ball out at this time.
6) Off sides will be enforced using a floating blue line. After the offensive blue line has been attained, the attacking zone is extended to the centerline.
7) There will be no icing calls enforced.
8) Any ball may be deemed dead when the referee loses sight of the ball. A face off will be held at the nearest face off position.
9) The goaltender may not freeze the ball outside of the crease. Failure to adhere to this rule will result in a 3-minute delay of game penalty. A ball shot out of play by the goaltender will also result in a delay of game penalty.
10) Player’s assessed fighting majors will receive an automatic game misconduct. The player/player’s will miss the remainder of the game in addition to a mandatory 4 game suspension. If a player receives a second fighting major in the same season, the player will be prohibited from playing for the remainder of the regular season/ and or playoffs.

Players are expected to conduct
themselves appropriately and respectfully on and off the rink. Failure to
comply will result in a warning, followed by a suspension, followed by expulsion
from the league. This includes excessive foul language, verbal abuse of
officials and other players, blatant repeated disrespect of fellow players
and/or league officials, and anything else deemed inappropriate by the head
official or commissioner.

Any player given three penalties in any
one game will receive an automatic game misconduct, leading to a mandatory 2
game suspension (see rule 13).
13)
Any game misconduct will result in an
automatic 2 game suspension for the first offence. A second game misconduct
will result in a total suspension of 4 games in addition to any remaining games
in that particular day. The third offence is an automatic expulsion from the
league for the remainder of the regular season and playoffs.

Note: Players who have already received
a game misconduct penalty this season will not serve the 1 game for their past
misconduct, but their next misconduct penalty will be treated as their second
and will carry with it the appropriate suspension.

Upon receiving two 10-minute
misconducts in a season, that player will serve a 1 game suspension. A third 10
minute misconduct will carry a 4 game suspension. A fourth 10 minute misconduct
will result in expulsion from the league for the remainder of the regular
season and playoffs.

Any player expelled from the league,
must apply to the commission and the league committee for reinstatement prior to
resuming play in next season.
General Rules
1) A game will consist of three 10 minute periods.
2) Game winners will receive 2 points for the win.
3) All games must start within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time or the game will be defaulted by the delaying team. If this should happen, the score of the game will be 1 – 0 in favor of the non-defaulting team.
4) Games can be cancelled at the League Commissioner’s discretion up to and including 30 minutes before scheduled start due to poor weather or any other acceptable reason.
5) To be eligible for post-season play, a player must appear in at least 50% of his team’s games in the regular season. This rule includes all players.
6) Rosters can be unlimited. You may have as many players on your team as you see fit. Only players who play 50% of the league games will qualify for post-season (8 games this season). Special circumstances will be looked at by the committee.
7) Proper hockey gloves are mandatory, all other equipment is worn at the player’s discretion.
8) Home team will be responsible for keeping score with the provided score sheets. These score sheets must be turned in to the officials at the conclusion of the games.
9) All players must sign the waiver form prior to playing in the league. Any team using players who have not signed the waiver sheet will default the games which the noted player has appeared in.
10) The home team of the first game of the day is responsible for getting the nets to the rink. The home team of the last game will be responsible for putting the nets away. The location will be provided to each team captain.
